Description
I’ve been exploring these sculptural bust concepts and as I developed them, they started to feel way more in tune with your work than mine. They resonate more with the textures and tone of your paintings, so I wanted to share them with you in case they spark anything.
The idea is that they could be produced in resin, likely cast from 3D prints. I’ve been talking to a few people who might be able to help get them made — some contacts in the Midlands could cost it up if I give them some info on scale. I haven’t moved forward yet because I wasn’t sure it felt right for me — but it might for you.
Let me know what you think. Happy to connect you with the contacts if it’s of interest.
Each bust plays with organic flow and deformation — kind of like humanoid forms melted through a glass lens. Glossy, liquid-like textures and fractured faces with fluid movement across the base and all that jazzzz.
